Randy is the founder of Hardy Aviation Insurance, Inc. and began his aviation career in 1977 by obtaining his flying license. He is now certified for commercial, multi-engine, and is instrument rated. He has spent the better part of his career learning and understanding the many facets of aviation. Randy enjoys working directly with clients, and is a member of numerous aviation-related organizations. He is also called upon to speak to aviation groups on subjects pertaining to trends and changes within the industry.
As a charter staff member, Angie has extensive experience in the field of aviation insurance. Her experience includes claims service and policy inception and renewals. She became a licensed agent in 1987, and has further expanded her knowledge of the aviation insurance industry. Angie also handles a large part of the office management duties, while continuing to service the clients directly.
Tim is a graduate of Kansas State University, Salina with a B.A. in Science in Aeronautical Technology and minored in Business Administration. He has a commercial pilot, airplane single engine land, multi-engine land and flight instructor. He comes from a family of pilots, starting with his grandfather, father, several uncles, aunts and cousins. Tim’s been flying since he was a kid, and has no other field that he prefers to work in other than aviation. He has has been fortunate enough to become a member of the Commemorative Air Force and gets to fly the Stearman, T-6, Beech 18, and currently a co-pilot in “FIFI” the only flying B-29 in the world!
Melinda joined the staff of Hardy Aviation Insurance in April of 1999. She became a licensed agent in the same year, and has further developed her skills and knowledge in the industry. She serves as an account manager and works directly with our clients on a daily basis. She primarily works with our pleasure and business aircraft customers, but also has the expertise to deal in all areas. Melinda also serves as our resident information systems technician, and has developed new ways to enhance our abilities to serve our customers more efficiently..”
Peggy Hahn joined the staff of Hardy Aviation Insurance in December of 2001. Her duties include taking over our accounting department and to help maintain good customer relationships. Peggy’s history includes working for many years as the flight coordinator for a local fixed base operator. Even though she’s new to aviation insurance, aviation has been in her blood for many years. Married with a family of her own, we’re very pleased now to have Peggy as a part of the Hardy Aviation Insurance family.
Since 2007, Mary has been developing an outstanding reputation in the aviation insurance industry. Exceptionally knowledgeable in regard to aviation special events, she specializes in coverage for airshow performers. In 2012, we invited Mary to add her name to our family of policy specialists at Hardy Aviation Insurance. Working one-on-one with her clients is a favorite aspect of Mary’s job. She feels that this kind of personal involvement is the key to a successful career in this business. We couldn’t agree more. Mary gets her love of aviation from her father, who helped put planes in the air for 52 years.
Mona began her aviation insurance career in the early 1980’s by joining a regional aviation insurance brokerage. Mona’s experience includes cargo and passenger airlines, aerospace manufacturers, large corporate fleets. Her expertise includes all Piper PA46, TBM, PC-12, turbine and jet aircraft. She is current Secretary/Treasurer of the Malibu/Mirage Owners and Pilots Association and Vice President and Safety Coordinator for the Malibu/Mirage Safety & Training Foundation. Further, she is a current active member of the TBM Owners and Pilots Association, Pilatus Owners and Pilots Association. Cessna Jet Pilots Association, AOPA and Women in Aviation. She has also served as past President of Business & Professional Women and member of the Board of Trustees of Kansas Aviation Museum.
Joyce was hired in February 2013, after approximately 25 years at AOPA Insurance Agency. She held several positions there over the years, most recently Senior Account Executive and Assistant Manager. Among other accomplishments during that time, she passed pilot ground school, flew as a student pilot in a Cessna 172, earned her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation, served as Vice President for Insurance Women of Wichita, and earned her Associates Degree in Business Management at Butler Community College. Joyce currently works as an Account Manager, marketing both new and renewal business and servicing existing policies. She has enjoyed a career geared solidly toward the personal service she provides to her customers. Joyce has found a home at Hardy Aviation Insurance, where we believe the same thing that she does when it comes to personalized service… one client at a time.
Mandi is a third generation pilot who has been involved in aviation all of her life. Her grandfather owned an aerial spraying business in the 1970’s and her father sprays for their family agricultural operations in western Kansas. She learned to fly with her dad in a Piper Super Cub and went on to Kansas State University at Salina to earn her commercial and flight instructor ratings along with a minor in Airway Science. She finished up her education with a B.A. from Fort Hays State University.
A passion for aviation combined with unwavering commitment to customer service makes Mandi well equipped to serve the insurance needs of all of our Hardy customers. When it comes to aviation she speaks your language.
Kim was hired in April 2016 to develop and manage the home, auto, work comp, commercial and life insurance division of Hardy Aviation Insurance, expanding our coverages to areas outside of aviation. She comes to us with 11 years of experience in property/casualty underwriting, having run an independent agency branch office in Newton for the past 8 years. She has earned her AIP (Associate in Insurance Production) and her CAWC (Certified Authority in Work Comp) certifications and will soon earn her AAI (Accredited Adviser in Insurance).
Kim stands firm in building one-on-one relationships with clients, while staying focused on doing the right thing.
