Randy is the founder of Hardy Aviation Insurance, Inc. and began his aviation career in 1977 by obtaining his flying license. He is now certified for commercial, multi-engine, and is instrument rated. He has spent the better part of his career learning and understanding the many facets of aviation. Randy enjoys working directly with clients, and is a member of numerous aviation-related organizations. He is also called upon to speak to aviation groups on subjects pertaining to trends and changes within the industry.

As a charter staff member, Angie has extensive experience in the field of aviation insurance. Her experience includes claims service and policy inception and renewals. She became a licensed agent in 1987, and has further expanded her knowledge of the aviation insurance industry. Angie also handles a large part of the office management duties, while continuing to service the clients directly.

Rita has been in the aviation industry since 1978. She started her career in the insurance division of a full service aircraft sales/service company, working her way to eventually become vice president of that division. Her experience extends into all facets of general aviation insurance, with a special emphasis on aerial application. Joing Hardy Aviation Insurance in 1999, Rita has become our specialist in the agricultural aviation industry. Rita believes, “The most important aspect of any business is customer service, and I believe we provide our clients with the highest degree of personal service that can be offered.”

Tim is a graduate of Kansas State University, Salina with a B.A. in Science in Aeronautical Technology and minored in Business Administration. He has a commercial pilot, airplane single engine land, multiengine land and flight instructor with instrument ratings. For the past few years while working through college, Tim has been a sales manager for Wings Over Wichita, a popular store for pilot supplies. He comes from a family of pilots, starting with his grandffather, father, and several uncles. Tim’s been flying since he was a kid, and has no other field that he prefers to work in other than aviation.

Melinda joined the staff of Hardy Aviation Insurance in April of 1999. She became a licensed agent in the same year, and has further developed her skills and knowledge in the industry. She serves as an account manager and works directly with our clients on a daily basis. She primarily works with our pleasure and business aircraft customers, but also has the expertise to deal in all areas. Melinda also serves as our resident information systems technician, and has developed new ways to enhance our abilities to serve our customers more efficiently..”

Peggy Hahn joined the staff of Hardy Aviation Insurance in December of 2001. Her duties include taking over our accounting department and to help maintain good customer relationships. Peggy’s history includes working for many years as the flight coordinator for a local fixed base operator. Even though she’s new to aviation insurance, aviation has been in her blood for many years. Married with a family of her own, we’re very pleased now to have Peggy as a part of the Hardy Aviation Insurance family.

Dick has been with Hardy Aviation Insurance since 2006, recruiting and servicing clients across a wide range of aviation insurance exposures. Service runs in his blood, as you can readily tell by his 41 years of combined service in the USAF and Army National Guard. Retired AFRC Command Chief Master Sergeant Russell has also logged many hours with the Sacramento, CA Sheriff’s Dept. in capacities from Academy Director to Helicopter Pilot/Flight Instructor. While at the FAA, Dick also served as a Safety Inspector, Accident Investigator and Manager for all FAA flight programs.”

Mona began her aviation insurance career in the early 1980’s by joining a regional aviation insurance brokerage. Mona’s experience includes cargo and passenger airlines, aerospace manufacturers, large corporate fleets. Her expertise includes all Piper PA46, TBM, PC-12, turbine and jet aircraft. She is current Secretary/Treasurer of the Malibu/Mirage Owners and Pilots Association and Vice President and Safety Coordinator for the Malibu/Mirage Safety & Training Foundation. Further, she is a current active member of the TBM Owners and Pilots Association, Pilatus Owners and Pilots Association. Cessna Jet Pilots Association, AOPA and Women in Aviation. She has also served as past President of Business & Professional Women and member of the Board of Trustees of Kansas Aviation Museum.

Kelly joined the Hardy Aviation Insurance staff in December 2007 and became a licensed agent in June of 2008. She works primarily assisting Tim with his customers and administrative duties, but also provides support for the entire office staff as needed. Kelly received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Wichita State University and has previously worked as a Curatorial Assistant at Old Cowtown Museum”
